Everything people ask
What do you actually do?
Two practices. For service businesses: lead generation, Google Ads and performance SEO measured to the signed job. For e-commerce brands: Shopify and Amazon growth, paid media, SEO, UGC and retention. Same team, same reporting discipline.
What does it cost?
Programs are banded by revenue and the exact number is stated on the audit call, before any commitment. We don’t publish prices because the honest number depends on your industry, your area and how contested it is.
Do you mark up ad spend?
Never. Your accounts, your cards. What you pay Google or Meta is exactly what they get, our fee is flat and separate.
Am I locked into a contract?
Ninety days to build the engine, then month to month. If we’re not earning it, you should be able to leave.
Do you work with my competitors?
For trades on paid lead generation we run one client per trade per defined service area, with the suburbs named in the engagement. Ask whether your area is open.
How many clients do you take on?
Six new clients a month. It’s a delivery cap, and it’s why the audit comes first.
Where are you based?
Geelong, Victoria. We work with businesses across Australia, and in person around Geelong and Melbourne.
What size business do you work with?
From owner-operators through to multi-location groups past A$10M. The program is scoped to your stage.
How do you report?
One screen, monthly: enquiries, cost per enquiry, cost per signed client, and what changes next month. No ranking screenshots presented as results.
What if it doesn’t work?
You’ll see it in the numbers early, because tracking goes in first. If a channel isn’t paying we’ll say so, including when the honest recommendation is to spend less.
Which services does Sellevate run?
Two practices under one roof. For online stores: ecommerce SEO, Shopify SEO, Shopify growth and web design, Amazon PPC and SEO, Google, Meta and TikTok ads, Klaviyo email and SMS, UGC creative and conversion rate optimisation. For service businesses: lead generation, Google Ads management, local SEO, web design and the digital marketing programs for trades, clinics, professional services and local businesses. Every service has its own page under Services.
Where do you work?
The office is in North Geelong, Victoria, and most of the work happens inside the client's own accounts, so location does not limit who we work with. There are dedicated pages for Geelong, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and regional Victoria (Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, Traralgon, Warrnambool and Wodonga), and clients across the rest of Australia are run the same way.
Do I need to be in Geelong to work with you?
No. Calls are on video, reporting is in writing every month, and the work is done in your store admin, ad accounts and Search Console. We come to you when a session in the room is worth it, most often for Geelong and Melbourne clients.
How do I get started?
Book a free 10-minute call, or send the site through the Growth Blockers form. We read your accounts, tell you honestly where the next dollar of revenue or the next enquiry is, and put the findings in writing. You keep the findings whether or not you hire us.
What is the Growth Blockers Report?
A free report that pulls your website apart page by page: the problems circled on screenshots, competitor benchmarks, and the order to fix things in. You answer three questions on the Growth Blockers page and the report comes back to you, no sales call required to receive it.
What exactly is the 90-Day Commitment?
Everything in your build plan is live within 90 days of starting, or you stop paying until it is. It covers the build, not a promised ranking or revenue figure, because nobody can honestly promise those. The full wording is on the 90-Day Commitment page.
Do you work with both Shopify and Amazon?
Yes, and with WooCommerce and BigCommerce stores too. Many clients sell on their own store and on Amazon AU at the same time, and the point of one team is that paid ads, SEO, email and the marketplace are run against one revenue number instead of three reports.
Do you do SEO for service businesses as well as online stores?
Yes. Local and performance SEO for service businesses is measured in booked jobs and enquiries rather than traffic: a complete Google Business Profile, a page per service per area you work, and the questions people ask before choosing a provider. Ecommerce SEO is a separate practice measured in organic revenue.
How do you know where an enquiry came from?
Every enquiry, booking, WhatsApp message and phone tap on this site carries its source: the channel, the first page the person landed on and the pages they read before contacting us. We build the same first-party tracking into client sites, because a lead you cannot attribute is a budget you cannot allocate.
How long does SEO take to work?
Technical fixes can move rankings inside weeks. New service or collection pages usually show inside three to six months. Contested head terms depend on links and reviews and take longer. We set a baseline on day one and report against it monthly rather than promising a date.
Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?
No. A flat monthly fee, stated on the audit call, with no markup on ad spend. Your ad spend goes to Google, Meta or TikTok in full, from accounts in your name.
Who owns the accounts and the data?
You do. Ad accounts, analytics, Search Console, the store and the email platform stay in your name; you grant us access and can remove it at any time. If we part ways, nothing has to be rebuilt or handed over.
Do you provide UGC and creator content?
Yes. A managed network of vetted creators across Australia, the US and Europe, briefed, contracted and delivered by us, with creator fees inside the retainer and you supplying product. Influencer placements on a creator's own channels are a different thing and are quoted separately.
Can you take over from another agency?
Yes, and it starts the same way as any new client: the free call and the findings in writing. We read what the previous agency built before changing anything, keep what works, and move accounts and tracking across without a gap in your ads or rankings. There is no lock-in on either side.
