A TikTok ads agency has one real job: keep the account supplied with native creative, find the few angles that sell, and scale them before they tire. Everything else is housekeeping. We run TikTok for brands in Melbourne and right across Australia from our base in Geelong, alongside the Meta and UGC work that usually sits next to it.
The order we build in
1. Measurement first. The TikTok Pixel and Events API go in together, deduplicated, and we check reported purchases against your Shopify orders before any budget moves. If the numbers do not reconcile, every decision after that is a guess.
2. A creative bank, not a hero video. Several concepts per product, each with a handful of opening hooks. The hook is the part TikTok judges in the first second, so it is the part we test hardest.
3. A testing structure that reads fast. New concepts go into a dedicated testing campaign with enough budget each to get a genuine read. Winners graduate to scaling campaigns. Losers are switched off without a debate.
4. Scale through Spark Ads. Proven videos run from the creator's own handle where we can get authorisation. It keeps the comments, the profile and the native feel that a brand account struggles to earn.
5. TikTok Shop only if it fits. It can shorten the path to purchase for impulse categories. It also adds fulfilment and customer service load, so we decide on it with you rather than switching it on by default.
What "native" actually means
Filmed on a phone, vertical, sound on, a person talking to camera or showing the product in use. Text on screen that says what the viewer gets in the first line. No logo sting, no slow fade in, no repurposed square ad from Meta with black bars. The ads that work usually look like a post the viewer could have found organically, which is exactly why they work.
How to judge a TikTok account honestly
TikTok's own dashboard credits itself generously, like every platform does. We report three numbers side by side: what TikTok claims, what Shopify recorded, and blended revenue against total ad spend across every channel. If TikTok is working, blended numbers move when TikTok spend moves. If they do not, the in-platform ROAS is decoration.
We also watch cost per new customer, not just cost per purchase. TikTok's value for most brands is reaching people who have never heard of you. A campaign that mostly sells to your existing email list is spending prospecting money on customers you already had.
Melbourne brands on TikTok
Melbourne is home to a lot of the Australian fashion, beauty and homewares brands that suit the platform. For Melbourne brands we cast Australian creators first, because local accents, local settings and Australian pricing read as more trustworthy to an Australian buyer. Our network also covers the US and EU for brands selling overseas. Being in Geelong means the same time zone, the same state and a team that knows the market it is selling into.
When TikTok is the wrong channel
It is the wrong first channel for considered, high-ticket or B2B purchases, where people search before they buy and Google Ads will almost always convert better. It is hard work for products that cannot be shown in use. Supplements and anything making health claims face strict ad review and Australian advertising rules on what can be said. And it does not suit a brand that can only produce one or two videos a month, because TikTok rewards volume. If any of those is you, we will tell you on the first call and point the budget somewhere it will earn.
Rule of thumb: if the ad would look normal on television, it will look wrong on TikTok.
